Cookie Policy
1. About This Document
This document describes which cookies and similar technologies AmpHarbor uses on Chalcomenit.info, why they are needed, and how you can manage your choices. It supplements the Privacy Policy: that document covers information in general; this one covers only technologies that store data in your browser.
The core principle is simple: necessary cookies always run because the site cannot remember even your own settings choice without them. Analytics and marketing technologies are not activated until you give consent.
2. What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files that a website saves in the browser on your computer, tablet, or phone. They store technical information — for example, a note that the settings panel was already shown, or an anonymized identifier for aggregated visit statistics.
Cookies may be session-based or persistent. Session cookies are removed when you close the browser. Persistent cookies remain on the device until they expire or you delete them. Alongside cookies, sites use similar browser mechanisms such as local storage; we use it to remember the categories you selected.
Cookies do not run programs, read files on your device, or transfer malicious code. They are data records accessible to the site that set them.
3. Categories We Use
The site uses three cookie categories. Each appears as a separate toggle in the settings panel.
- Necessary. Support basic page operation, connection security, and storage of your settings choice. They cannot be disabled in the panel: without them the site cannot remember even a refusal of other categories.
- Analytics. Help us understand which materials are read, which pages are opened rarely, and where visitors leave the site. Data is used in aggregated form, without aiming to identify a specific person.
- Marketing. Used to measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns that bring people to the site and to avoid showing ads to those who already submitted an inquiry. This category is off by default.
4. Necessary Cookies
Necessary cookies include records without which pages do not work correctly: interface state, security markers, and your saved choice in the settings panel. We set them on the basis of legitimate interest because they are not used for advertising or behavior tracking.
Your selected categories are saved in browser local storage under the key
ampharbor-cookie-settings. This record prevents the settings panel from appearing on every
visit and ensures your decision is honored across all site pages.
If you fully block data storage in the browser, the site remains readable, but you will need to confirm settings again on each visit.
5. Analytics Cookies
Analytics technologies connect only after you agree to this category. They collect aggregated metrics: visit counts, referral sources, popularity of individual materials, average time on page, and device type.
We use this data to understand which topics are useful to readers and decide what to improve — for example, which materials to expand and which sections are read rarely.
If you decline analytics, the related scripts do not run and statistics for your visit are not collected.
6. Marketing Cookies
Marketing technologies also activate only with your consent. They show whether a visit came from an advertisement and help assess how relevant the ad was. For us this is a way to avoid spending budget on impressions that help no one.
We do not use these technologies to build profiles about private life and do not sell collected data. If you decline this category, you may still see ads online, but they will be less relevant and we cannot measure their effectiveness.
For advertising and analytics tools we pass a signal about your consent: categories stay off until you enable them and activate immediately after your choice is saved.
7. Third-Party Cookies
Some technologies are set not by us but by services we use: web analytics platforms, advertising systems, and the map service through which our address is shown. Those records follow those services' rules and we do not control their contents.
We connect third-party services in minimal scope and only for purposes described in this document. We recommend reading the privacy policies of platforms used if their details matter to you.
8. How to Manage Your Choice on Our Site
On first visit, a settings panel opens with three categories and three actions: accept all, accept only selected, or keep necessary cookies only.
The decision is not final. Every page has a persistent cookie management button that opens and closes the same panel, where you can enable or disable categories at any time. A new choice applies immediately and replaces the previous one.
The panel works with the keyboard and closes with the Escape key, so you can manage settings without a mouse.
9. How to Manage Cookies in Your Browser
Regardless of settings on the site, you can manage cookies through your browser. Any modern browser has a privacy and site data section where you can delete saved files, block them entirely, or allow them only for specific sites.
The exact path depends on the browser and version, so the most reliable approach is to open built-in help and find the cookies section. Also note private browsing mode: in it, site data is removed after the window closes.
If you delete saved files, your category choice on our site will reset too and the settings panel will appear again.
10. What Changes If You Disable Cookies
Site materials, navigation, the contact form, and legal documents remain available with any choice: without optional categories the site works the same. Declining analytics and marketing affects only us — we receive less data about what to improve.
A full block of data storage at the browser level means the settings panel will appear on every visit because there is nowhere to save your decision.
11. Updates to This Policy
We may update this document when the technologies we use change or legal requirements change. The current version is always on this page, and the last update date appears at the top.
If changes are material, we will note that on the page itself and, if needed, ask for your consent to optional categories again.
